Outside of work, Joel loves to experience new things and learn from different people. This has included a coast-to-coast road trip, revealing his artistic side through middle-of-nowhere art camping, and singing as part of several gay men’s choruses. He and his partner, Kenneth, celebrated their tenth anniversary in 2022. They live in Northern Kentucky with their cat (Isis) and dog (Xena).
