Clarity Amrein (she/her/hers)
Director of Development, Board of Directors

My name is Clarity Amrein and I grew up in a small, rural town just outside of Cincinnati. I first came to Cincinnati Pride as a baby gay at 16 years old and have been volunteering, marching in the parade, or behind a booth for the last eight years. Cincinnati Pride made me feel like I could be myself. I moved from my small town to Cincinnati in 2014 and graduated from UC in 2018, then I began working at the Cincinnati Public Library. I'm now the Community Content Coordinator at the Cincinnati Public Library and sit on the library system's LGBTQIA+ committee. As a librarian, I'm passionate about history, preservation, and community storytelling. I'm also an archivist and board member of the Ohio Lesbian Archives, and have been a board member and grant writer for several LGBTQ+, arts, and social justice nonprofits in the area. For love, I produce Smoke & Queers Burlesque and Drag Troupe and spend the weekends dancing the night away.
For these reasons - community, history, dancing, and the opportunity to be myself - I am so honored to be elected Director of Development for Cincinnati Pride and to help create the festival I've always loved!
